day 3 into avelox i experienced anxiety jaw pain chest squeezing and arm pain both sides. been off for 3 months and all the pain is the same. been to numerous doctors including 3 cardiologist. everything is fine. according to them. this was the worst drug i have ever taken. it was so bad one night i thought i needed the er my heart was racing jaw pain and arm pain and chest pain. DO NOT TAKE THIS

Hi Annie, my blood pressure did not get high for the first 3 years. Then I noticed more nose bleeds, bleeding gums and headaches would not go away (oh and the new warning on packet - way to late for me as Solpadeine have done their damage). I'm hoping this can be reversed and I can reduce blood pressure without staying on hypertension medications. I feel stupid, but I just couldn't stop, that plonk plonk fizz became a way of life. Could resist them. Hopefully we can all reverse this with lifestyle changes? best of luck Annie...Peter.

Exactly the same Paul. 8 a day for four years (on and off) addicted totally. Then read the recent warning of 3 days maximum. To late for me also now have hypertension (HBP) and on and ACE inhibitor - recently changed as the side effects got bad (chest tightness and tired). Stopped Solpadiene completely now (not hard when you realise they kill you!). Hopefully this can be reversed with life style changes but it is going to take time. I only wish they had not been so addictive. I have other friends who became addicted too.

I have Bennett on the implanon for 3 years now. My 3 years is actually up next month. I would have to disagree with all of these tho. Although I do get moody and depressed. But I never get my periods which rules! Lately I have noticed my face breaking out and my Moody ness has gone up. But I was thinking maybe that is due to it almost being done. However I do plan on getting it reinserted. Its the best birth control I've been on. And yes alot of women do get it inserted wrong. My cousins actually was and it wasn't pretty. Everyone's body is different. I sure am glad it works for me :D

I started taking premelle from 1st may 2012. On the 10th of May, i started getting painful colic just like during period. On 13 may, colic worsened and i started bleeding... I thought it was constipation and took suppository but this helped for few minutes only but colic is persistent and am still bleeding ..

As far as I'm concerned, there are more cons then there are pros with Topamax. So why do you all bother? I mean just take a look at all of these symptoms. It mostly likely won't help you. So many 'doctors' these days will do anything for money. If it helps some of you, then great, but a lot of you don't need to be on it, and the fact that you get encouraged to take it is frightening.
Topamax should be banned forever.

Oh, and whilst being on this drug, I thought that the devil was telling me to kill myself, and so I got a kitchen knife, and as I pressed it against my skin, I saw this horrid black stuff (that of course wasn't real) form on my stomach. Thankfully my mother stopped me just in time.

A lot of these comments that I've been looking at in that forum are all negative. And in response to Kaye and Ash those symptoms were the beginning of my Catatonic-State. Kaye, if you are reading this, I'd stop taking this drug, and Mary, get rid of it too. To all of you who are experiencing these sort of symptoms don't take Topamax. I was feverish not long after I took it, experienced hallucinations, and then a full-blown Catatonic-State. Ash, that disconnected-feeling in particular, is a very bad sign.
All of this just shows how risky this drug is. I say get rid of Topamax altogether.

When it comes to medicine, I'm not a big fan, as I took this drug when I was 14, and it practically robbed me of my childhood. Another medicine that somebody in my family took, whilst they had depression, aggravated their depression, and caused them to try and kill themselves - One of the side-effects were along the lines of 'May increase suicidal thoughts' - Now why on earth would a doctor give an already-depressed person medication like that?
I find it absolutely disgusting, that these supposed-doctors do this sort of rubbish and then act all shocked and dismayed when they hear of their patient/s trying to kill themselves. Honestly, it's time to wake up, and stop toying with these people's lives.
With Topamax, I experienced memory loss, like that of severe dementia, and on my 15th birthday I became withdrawn, didn't talk to anybody, just sat in front of the stereo-system, and didn't know who anybody was, expect I knew who God and Satan were. I became paranoid, had hallucinations, what I thought in my head I heard and saw on the radio and T.V, I thought that I was changing because I was going to go to hell, I forgot how to walk and talk, I experienced smells of what one would smell of a dead corpse, my food looked repulsive, shriveled and withered, when it didn't look that way at all, when I ate food it was like having dirt in my mouth, and at one point I didn't know what a cup was. Now I know that this drug can help certain people, but I have a lot of resentment for it, and for the doctor who decided for me to 'test it out', even though it was new at the time. So I strongly urge anybody who is going to try this drug, to get a thorough look it and not just try it and take a guess. Your life, no matter how tragic it may be, could get one hundred times worse if you just go ahead and take a guess with a drug that could probably cause severe harm to you, and can possibly kill you.If my parents didn't get me to the hospital sooner, I would have died. Just please try be careful with these drugs.

My husband has been on oxygen for the last 21 months, and soon after, began getting a raspy voice, and it seemed hard for him to talk and breath. He only uses it at night. Recently he had to be hospitalized, and while there his normal sounding voice came back ( he was on oxygen there as well 24/7). After being home for 5 days, he lost his voice, and it is slowly coming back a little bit. The Dr.s' have no clue, even though they both know he is still on the oxygen. My husband has been told that he really doesn't need the oxygen anymore, but he chooses to remain on it at night. He has recently been using a bottle filled with water that is hooked inline on the concentrator.

Hello all-
I had Implanon placed in my arm just over one week ago. I've been having non-stop pain that radiates up to my armpit and sometimes makes my entire arm tingle. The pain feels like something is pinching. Has anyone experienced this after it was placed in? I've heard women complain about having pains a couple years in, but it seems like most only have a "sore" arm for a couple days.
Just want to know if I can expect this to go away...if not, I'm having it removed immediately.

i have been taken zeldox since 1 year and a half . I took a cefuroxim treatment for 5 days and it was really bad because i started feeling trembling , a chest pain and my lips started trembling . It was really awful so it took me 15 days to recover completly . So i advise all those who are taking zeldox not to take cefuroxim because they will feel all the side effects of zeldox .

I have taken Spiriva for the last four years. I started having occasional severe leg cramps shortly after starting it. Now the cramps are almost nightly, and occur on average four times a night. I have also developed fast-growing cataracts, which first appeared only three months ago. They are now so bad I am almost legally blind at the age of 55. Two surgeries coming up to replace the lenses in both eyes. I ran out of Spiriva a couple of weeks ago when the mail-order pharmacy failed to ship it. During the week I didn't have any, guess what....the leg cramps went away. Prompted me to find out if Spiriva might be causing the leg cramps. Interesting to see on this site that other users are having the same problems. Will be talking to my pulmonologist very soon about discontinuing this drug.

I don't think you'll have damaged your body but you definitely need to get it taken out and replaced if you're having unprotected sex. After three years it stops being as effective and you've probably just been lucky this past year!

I have had the implanon implant for about five months now, my experience has been mixed but, overall, positive.
The most annoying thing is that there is no way to predict your period, it comes whenever it wants and can go on for over a week, stop for another week and then start again. It's very light, however, so it's not like it's intensely problematic. Over the past few months I've also had quite sore breasts, which is a bit of an issue dancing or running. In terms of mood swings, I do find that I can occasionally go off on one, but I'm not sure if that's unrelated, or perhaps even a placebo effect because I was kind of expecting to get mood swings from the implant.
However, the convenience it gives you in terms of your sex life (with a safe partner, of course) I think outweighs the problems. I do think I'd go for the coil next time, just to avoid the sore boobs issue, but I'd say give it a go and see how it works for you.
